Nike Vomero Plus

I am a nurse. I saw a coworker with these and she highly praised this style. I liked the thick sole. It screamed clouds for my feet. So I have been extremely happy with these shoes. I have two pair and I’m looking to buy another pair. Not because they break down quickly, but because my feet don’t hurt after standing on them for 9+ hours a shift, especially the 3rd and 4th shift in a row. I love the choice of colors.

Upgraded to the Plus from the regular vomeros I bought last year and I’m in love. It was time to replace my beloved vomeros in the most perfect color way and figured why not try the plus. These are even better for my feet! I do mainly treadmill walking and jogging, these are the bouncy cushion I need for the hard treadmill. They’re also perfect to keep my back from hurting during the work day, WFH but still like to spend at least half the work day standing. I do hope there are some new colors, I went with orange lilac pinkish and luckily I like it more in person. The cushion middle parts have a pearl finish which is a nice detail. My pair did have some little lines of dots on the sides which I’m guessing is from the mold that makes them. I usually wear a 10.5 and tried an 11 and 10.5, the 10.5 fit better as the 11 was too loose in the heel on my right foot. My old vomeros were an 11 due to the toe box. Overall happy with this new updated pair.

Frankly, I couldn’t stand this shoe. I’ve been running in the Invincible 3 for years and had read that this was basically the successor to that, but it’s just not. The stack height is crazy on these. Takes away all ground feel. The extra drop was also much too extreme for me. It claimed only 1mm additional, but it has to be more than that. I felt like they almost forced me to land on my heels when running downhill because of the extreme drop. Very disappointed in these, but thankful for Nike’s generous return policy.
