The herringbone traction pattern is made of our new rubber compound that’s lighter than Vapors of the past. It allows you to decelerate, plant and back into position without feeling like you’re rounding off your cuts.
A heel Air Zoom unit helps keep you supported and springy throughout your match.
We brought back the firm midfoot plastic piece seen on past Vapors to provide optimal stability and transitions when cutting from side to side. The supportive piece also allowed us to remove the rubber in the midfoot, which helps reduce the overall weight of the shoe.
A firm foot frame wraps around the supportive midfoot plate and spans from heel to toe, giving you more of a secure feel. It helps give you the stability to transfer power during aggressive slides, cuts and pivots.
We reduced the weight of the engineered mesh while maintaining durability in high-wear zones by the toe.

Good for pickleball

Brought these for pickleball indoor. They felt a little tighter than my other Nikes straight out the box but that soon eased off. They are comfy and responsive on court. 8 hrs of total play in them so far and nothing negative about any excessive wear to report. I brought the white and gold which look pretty sweet on court just hope my game matches the kicks. Would buy again

Nike famously run narrow and I wear 14 extra wide but I love the retro design so much I had to try these. I ordered a size up and these fit me perfectly. I wear them for pickleball. They are super comfortable and provide great stability around the ankle.
