Timeless Style, Slightly Roomy Fit
LVS101
I like the Nike Tennis Classic Women's Shoes, but I don't love, love, love them. I ordered my usual size 7, and they fit a little bigger than I expected. Even with socks, I still have more room than I personally like. I tend to prefer my shoes fairly snug, and I think a 6.5 would have been a better fit, but that's just me. In the photos, I'm wearing the Nike Tennis Classic Women's Shoes without socks, and I also included a comparison with one of my regular everyday shoes in a size 7. You can see that the Nike shoes are a bit larger and I expect they will stretch over time. The fit isn't bad, though. They stay on well and are comfortable enough for all-day wear. One thing I immediately noticed was the laces, they're the perfect length. Long enough to tie comfortably without leaving huge loops hanging everywhere. The addition of the gingham ones is a great bonus, but I would have liked them to arrive with those laces on the shoe and the solids as a bonus. Here's hoping I figure out how to swap them and make it look factory! The green color is what drew me to these Nike shoes. It's a very neutral green, not bright, not flashy, and not overly warm. It works with a lot more outfits than I expected. I've worn them with jeans, leggings, and dresses, and they don't look out of place with any of them. The Nike Tennis Classic has a clean, timeless look that makes it easy to understand why this style has remained popular for so long. The low profile design is simple without being boring, and it feels versatile enough to wear almost anywhere. The materials feel well made, and the overall construction seems solid. My biggest complaint is the sizing. If the Nike Tennis Classic ran just a little smaller, I'd probably rate them higher. Other than that, they're comfortable, easy to wear, and the color is versatile enough to go with almost everything in my closet. The style is one that will not be a flash in the pan trend, even with the more unique color, I can see these in rotation for many years, which is important to me. If I invest in something new for my closet, it's got to be able to work with a variety of styles and have durability to last. Overall, I'm happy with them and will keep wearing them, but if you're between sizes or prefer a snug fit, I'd consider sizing down.
