You get what you pay for and these excellent shoes are totally worth the expense. Possibly the best I’ve ever worn. Will need to get another pair soon.

ACG Zegama Trail GORE-TEX
Ruthless comfort. Soft shoes for when you hit hard trails.
A trusted trail runner takes its rightful place in ACG. And it arrives with some all-conditions upgrades. A waterproof GORE-TEX upper helps keep your feet dry as you splash though wet terrain. The light and ultra-cushioned ACG Zegama combines grippy traction and more room for your toes to provide lasting comfort and control on rugged, off-road trails. Steep climbs, hairpin switchbacks, barreling descents—the Zegama’s built to tackle it all. Are you?
The updated midsole puts more ultra-lightweight ZoomX foam directly underfoot to maximize cushioning. A layer of Cushlon 3.0 foam helps provide impact protection, comfort and stability on uneven trail surfaces.
Made specifically for trail runners, the roomier forefoot and toe box let your feet splay for greater stability on tough terrain.
To keep trail debris out, the improved ankle cuff features stretchy fabric for a more conforming, 1:1 fit around your heel.
The trusted Vibram® MegaGrip outsole with Traction Lug technology supplies unparalleled traction in variable trail conditions.

Style and Protection

The Nike ACG Zegama Trail GORE-TEX blends style and ruggedness to help you conquer all terrains and conditions. I felt protected by the waterproof nature and felt confident running in puddles, mud, or dirt. It was stable and provided enough responsiveness throughout any hikes or trail runs. Overall the ACG Zegama Trail GORE-TEX is the ONLY shoe you need for your outdoor terrain needs. I also like the aesthetic and design that looks stylish in all terrains.
Finally, a Waterproof Shoe That Doesn't Look Atrocious!
DNA
These shoes are wonderful - just what I was looking for! Nike definitely put thought into making these. In general, I love Nike ACG because along with nice aesthetics, their items are actually functional and serve purpose. This shoe is no different. Below are my pros, cons, and general thoughts: Pros: - Width and Fit: Nike obviously thought about foot-swelling during hiking or trailing which is why they probably made the shoe wider and roomier. That is something I appreciate as I dislike when shoes run too narrow, causing my feet to scrunch. Plus, the extra room allows me to wear thicker socks so that I can wear these during the winter as well. - Weight: Hiking shoes tend to be rather clunky, heavy, and not very comfortable. I like that this shoe wears like a tennis shoe rather than hiking shoe/boot, and in comparing weight, it is so much lighter. - Vibram Sole and Traction: The Vibram sole is a great addition as I noticed the traction on these were superb! It reflects that Nike is focused more on the user experience by spending the extra money to collaborate with Vibram rather than saving costs by just using their own soles. - Cushioning and Responsiveness: These shoes have just the right amount of cushioning. I like that they aren’t overly cushioned since, at the end of the day, they are trail/hiking shoes, so you’d want to be able to somewhat “feel” the terrain. - Gore-Tex and Waterproofing: The thing that I love the most about this shoe is that they collaborated with Gore-Tex to make the shoes truly waterproof. I’ve been looking for a waterproof shoe but did not necessarily want a heavy rain boot. This shoe fills that void perfectly! Cons: - Heel Tab: Although nothing has happened yet, I feel like the heel pull tab in the back could be more durably connected to the shoe. Just by pulling it to put on the shoe a few times, it feels as though it will rip from the fabric it is connected to. Like I said, this hasn’t happened yet, so I won’t take away any points, but it definitely seems that way to the point that I don’t want to risk using it and have it potentially rip off. - Connected Tongue: The only other con I noticed was that the connecting points of the quarters to the tongue were pretty low, so the openings above would be susceptible to water seeping through to those locations. I think that those connection points should be higher. I really like this shoe both from the perspectives of aesthetics and functionality. Regarding aesthetics, somewhat remind me of the TW13s and 15s, of which both I owned and loved to play golf in. Although this shoe is technically not for golf, I’m sure I could wear these on the course. From a functionality standpoint, I needed a pair of waterproof shoes that didn’t look atrocious, so these are perfect for those rainy days. Also, I am eager to wear these not only for future hikes, but for everyday, casual wear as well. Overall, I am very happy with these shoes. I rate these a 5 out of 5 stars.
