I’m usually between a Small and Medium, so I ordered both sizes. The Small was extremely small. I couldn’t even get it past my thighs, which I don’t think I’ve ever experienced with a size Small before. I was able to put on the Medium and fully zip and snap it, but it was still very tight. I would definitely recommend sizing up. That said, I was honestly very impressed with the quality of this skirt. The photos don’t do it justice. The material feels substantial and sturdy, and the zipper, belt, and structured upper waistband are very well made. The top portion really snatches and defines the waist and gives you a beautiful shape. Pleated skirts usually aren’t very flattering on me, but this one actually looked great. The color is also beautiful, and overall it feels much higher quality in person than I expected. My other major complaint, besides the sizing, is the built-in bottom. Instead of fitted shorts, it has a loose, thin mesh brief/underwear-style liner. For an athletic skirt, I really wish Nike had used proper fitted shorts underneath. If the skirt lifts up while playing tennis, golfing, or even from the wind, the mesh brief is exposed and doesn’t provide much coverage or make me feel secure. That makes the skirt much less practical for actual sports. Unfortunately, I’ll be returning both because of the fit, but I like the skirt enough that I’m considering ordering a larger size. If Nike improved the sizing and replaced the mesh brief with fitted shorts, this would be an excellent athletic skirt.
