Very disappointing

I bought running shoes from Nike’s official website in my correct size. After a short run, they caused severe pain on the outer side of my foot, making them impossible to use. I contacted Nike for a return, but was told that because they were worn outdoors, no return or exchange is allowed. Testing running shoes outdoors is the only way to know if they are suitable. I am now stuck with an expensive pair I cannot wear. Very poor customer service and an extremely unfair policy. I feel like I completely wasted my money.
