Nike ACG Pegasus Trail

$190

Run your scenic miles with cushioned comfort and grippy traction.

A shoe made for the trails with the responsiveness you know from the road. That's what the ACG Pegasus Trail is for—running scenic miles in cushioned comfort. We made sure it has the grip you need for traction on wet terrain. And the fit? A wider forefoot gives your toes extra wiggle room.

Engineered mesh upper

Tried and trusted, the upper is made from lightweight engineered mesh that combines durability and breathability.

ReactX foam midsole

This edition of the Peg Trail has more ReactX foam than before. The increased stack height provides energy return with a responsive, stable feel.

High-Traction Outsole

Splash your way through wet trails and technical terrain—this generation of Nike's All-Terrain Compound (ATC) gives you more traction than previous versions.

Re-designed toe box

Uphill or downhill, we added extra room in the toe box and forefoot for comfort all the miles long. A wider design means more stability on technical trails.

  • ACG is not as waterproof as Gore-Tex Models

    ajmhopkins

Good comfort, poor waterproofing. Clearly only good on dry days or just wet surface. I was caught in a few unpredicted downpours this summer and the shoes barely lasted 1 minute under the rain. Misleading from “all conditions gear” but in hindsight, I realized they aren’t marketed as waterproof. Just misleading and less quality than my Pegasus Gore Tex from recent years. Disappointed but will wear on dry days

I just recently bought a pair of Nike ACG Pegasus Trail shoes for our trip to the Adirondacks. We did 5 days of hiking from easy to hard trails/climbs. The Pegasus is awesome- super comfortable, great grip on trails, open rock, dead logs, etc. What I loved is when I was on uneven ground or rocks I could feel cushion spots right at the pressure points. The outside of the shoe seems bullet proof. I put about 20,000 steps each day. I also did a few runs right before the trip and was comfortable. Overall, these shoes are very versatile- hikes, runs, and everyday wear. A+.

I have been using my Nike air zoom terra kiger acg shoes for the better of 4 years now and I didn’t realize how much of an upgrade I needed for my trail shoes until I wore these on a hike. One of the first things I noticed was that they’re way more comfortable on my feet. Each step feels more cushioned with the react sole and I don’t feel the edges of rocks except for when I land or push off with my toes. Even then I still barely notice it. One downside I can see for some people is the slope of the sole. It is made to keep you moving forward, which I like because I tend to run on trails. However, I could see it being an issue for people with less than ideal balance. There is also padding around the ankles, which I really like since the terra kigers would irritate the skin around my ankles sometimes. These shoes advertise as all conditions gear, but I haven’t had a chance to use them in anything but the sun. I can provide an update in that regard once I wear them on a rainy day. Overall I really like these shoes and I’m beyond glad I get to use them to tear up the trails!

"Check for durability. Check for comfort. And we're running pretty quick too, so check in that box. It's the trifecta of shoe capabilities in my opinion".
