Nike Wildhorse 10

Used this shoe for the Ring the Springs 35k. I have the Mt. Fuji race-inspired colorway and love the designs. It does exceptionally well on fire trails and dirt roads where a bit more bite is helpful. Along with the continuous outsole, it has an excellent toe-off feel for a slower shoe. The cushioning and shock absorption are great, and the toe bumper is excellent, but it's not used often, as I would not use this shoe for technical stuff because it rolls outwards quite easily. It is already a heavy shoe, so widening the platform to improve stability would be helpful, but would also increase weight. The soft plastic woven plate works well even with quite large rocks, but I feel they could have reduced the stack to improve stability and redistribute the weight across the width.

Great overall trail shoe. The arch is a bit more aggressive than I like, which makes my feet a sore after about mile 2. After a 7 mile hike the other day, I was ready for a break from the shoes. Besides that, they offer superior grip and have the perfect size toolbox. I am hoping a break in a little more and don’t hurt my arches.

Started out as a great pair of shoes but fell apart after 9 months of walking. Used most days for 20-30 minutes and the backs started to rip and now the heel cuts through. Never used for trail running so don't expect them to last 50 miles. Not robust at all.
