What's new on the Vapor 17 Elite?

The Vapor 17 is lighter than the previous iteration. Every gram of the shoe was considered as the team stripped back as much as possible while maintaining optimal performance in the build. The upper has been redesigned from GripKnit to AtomKnit, Nike's lightest Flyknit ever. The FlyLite plate is incredibly thin yet strong, with advanced film carrier construction to keep weight as low as possible without sacrificing traction or responsiveness.

What's the difference between the Mercurial Vapor 17 and Superfly 11?

With its feathery Atomknit upper and FlyLite plate, the Vapor 17 Elite is lighter and tuned for quick cuts, sharp changes of direction and agility in tight spaces. The Superfly 11 Elite is built for explosive acceleration and fast sprints, pairing an Air Zoom plate, ZoomX foam and a FlyWeave Ultra upper for a spring-loaded feel at top speed.

What is Atomknit?

Atomknit is Nike's lightest, most transparent Flyknit construction to date. It wraps the foot with minimal material so the boots practically disappear on your foot, bringing you closer to the ball.

How does the Mercurial Vapor 17 fit?

Like a second skin. The Atomknit upper conforms closely to the foot without restricting movement, giving you a low-profile, barefoot fit. Unlike the Superfly Academy and Club, the Vapor is a low-top with no ankle cuff to help you move freely.

What is the FlyLite plate?

The FlyLite plate is built with an advanced film carrier construction to help keep the boot as light as possible. Anatomical traction is engineered into the plate to optimise acceleration and change of direction, so you can cut, go and go again.
