The herringbone traction pattern is made from our new rubber compound that's lighter than Vapors of the past. It allows you to decelerate, plant and back into position without feeling like you're rounding off your cuts.
We brought back the firm midfoot plastic piece seen on past Vapors to provide optimal stability and transitions when cutting from side to side. The supportive piece also allowed us to remove the rubber in the midfoot, which helps reduce the overall weight of the shoe.
A firm foot frame wraps around the supportive midfoot plate and spans from heel to toe, giving you more of a secure feel. It helps give you the stability to transfer power during aggressive slides, cuts and pivots.
We reduced the weight of the engineered mesh while maintaining durability in high-wear zones by the toe.

The sole is very hard. Feels like close to zero cushioning. Used a few times to break in, but didn't work. Upper feels stiff as well. My feet were sore during and after the first hit on court. Not using It anymore, will give It away to someone that needs. I like fast, springy and light feel shoes, and this one didn't work for me.

I have purchased Nike Cross Trainers, as well as the Nike Vomero and the Nike Air Pegasus and those shoe fit were true to size. The Nike Vapor shoe in the same size fit felt a little bit tighter (smaller). Overall the shoe is alright. Would be reluctant to purchase shoe size a half size larger.
