Clay ready

Nike Claybreaker technology helps give you enhanced traction and less build-up on clay courts. Added grip in the forefoot and midfoot work with a wide traction pattern to help you slide with control. We used traction maps, pressure maps and analysed clay build-up areas for the design. Then we tested it on red-clay courts in Europe in multiple clay-weather conditions (cold, warm, wet and dry).

Forefoot Flexibility

The forefoot is more flexible because we shrank the Air Zoom unit and placed it where your foot feels the most impact. You still get responsive cushioning at the highest push-off point of your forefoot, but now there's more flex.

Stick and cut

The outsole is made from a new rubber compound that's lighter than Vapors of the past. It allows you to decelerate, plant and back into position without feeling like you're rounding off your cuts.

Improved feel

We kept the same midsole foam and outsole pattern you loved on the Vapor 2 and improved the secure feel around the midfoot and heel for shaper cuts.

Deeper flex

The supportive forefoot piece has a deeper flex notch to improve flexibility.

Enhanced fit

A full midfoot fit band helps you pull the laces tighter to enhance the fit and enable faster cuts.
