How This Was Made

    • The recycled nylon in Nike products begins as a variety of materials, including recycled carpet and used fish nets. The nylon is cleaned, sorted and converted into flakes before undergoing chemical or mechanical recycling processes to create new, recycled nylon yarns.
    • Garments that use materials made from recycled nylon reduce carbon emissions by up to 50% compared to virgin nylon.

  • A very sporty and stylish jacket!

Living in the Pacific Northwest means you quickly learn the importance of having the right rain jacket. My daughter has been wearing the Nike MAVN Girls Storm-FIT Jacket, and honestly, this jacket checks all the boxes. Between the waterproof protection, breathable fabric, and stylish long silhouette, it’s exactly the kind of outerwear that makes unpredictable PNW weather a lot easier to deal with. One of the best things about this jacket is the longer length. It has a really timeless silhouette that feels both functional and stylish. The extended coverage helps keep more of the body dry when it’s raining or windy, which is especially helpful during school commutes or walking around town. The fit is comfortable and easy to move in, which is important for kids who are constantly on the go. It doesn’t feel bulky or restrictive, and the slightly relaxed cut makes it easy to layer underneath when temperatures drop. The design is simple, clean, and very practical. Nike did a great job creating a jacket that feels modern but still classic enough to work with almost anything. The long parka-style design stands out right away. It looks great, but it’s also incredibly functional—helping block rain and wind while maintaining a sleek, everyday look. It’s the kind of jacket that works just as well for school days as it does for weekend adventures. The jacket uses Nike’s Storm-FIT technology, which is designed to keep rain and wind out while still allowing heat and moisture to escape. In other words, it keeps you dry without feeling stuffy. For life in the Pacific Northwest, this kind of waterproof and breathable shell is absolutely clutch. It’s perfect for those classic drizzly days where you don’t necessarily need insulation, just something that keeps you dry. Because it’s a shell, it also becomes incredibly versatile. On colder days, she can easily wear a hoodie or fleece underneath. On milder rainy days, the jacket works great on its own. The biggest highlight is the versatility. The shell design means it works in a wide range of weather conditions, which is perfect for the constantly changing conditions we get in the PNW. The long length and stylish silhouette are also a huge plus. It’s practical for staying dry but still looks great. Another standout is the price. For the quality, durability, and weather protection you get, this jacket feels like a really good value. Honestly, there’s not much we would change about this jacket. If anything, it would be nice to see even more color options released so kids could choose something that really matches their personal style. The Nike MAVN Girls Storm-FIT Jacket is an excellent all-around rain jacket for kids. It’s waterproof, breathable, stylish, and incredibly versatile thanks to the shell design. For families living in rainy climates—especially here in the Pacific Northwest—it’s exactly the kind of jacket that gets used all the time. Between the functionality, timeless design, and strong value for the price, it’s a piece of gear that’s easy to recommend.

  • Keeping me dry

    Stace

I have the Nike long rain jacket. I love the fact that it’s longer than most rain coats and will keep me dryer than umbrella and other rain coats. The hood is perfect for my big curly, wavy, kinky hair and space left for my face. The negative is the sleeves. I’m not fond of of the elastic on them and that they are slightly tight. Anyone that has bigger than normal arms will either not be able to wear it or it will be very tight. Also, the elastic makes it to wear you can’t have long arms. In my opinion it shouldn’t have any elastic and the sleeves should be longer and have more space

Lightweight and breathable, this rain jacket is perfect for unpredictable spring weather. The thin material keeps it comfortable as temperatures rise while still providing solid waterproof protection during frequent showers. It’s easy to wear over light layers and keeps you dry without feeling heavy or bulky. Add in the sleek look and it’s the best of the best.
