These felt great. Laced um up, lockdown was solid, foot felt secure and the ride was very smooth and ridiculously light with great bounce and very surprising energy return. I did a nice calm 8 miles right out the box at an 8:22min pace and we were cruising. Knees and feet felt great after, like I can do 8 more with no problem. Lacing system is efficient also. I wear a 12 in sneakers, but 12.5 in all my runners. 12.5 was perfect in these and toe box had just the right room. My feet are narrow and I have a decent arch, but very comfy and secure ride. Under the sole it slightly wore a little, but this may be based off your foot landing and terrain you run on. I was on road/pavement. This is a race day shoe, so I won’t have daily runs with this, just strictly for my races and half marathon/marathon sessions. Just a bit concerned with the wear on the bottom of the sole after one run. Overall, great race day choice!

I recently used these shoes at the Big Sur International Marathon. This course has it all it rained the majority of the race, so I had wet roads, a lot of big up and down hills, and also a long section of the road where the road angled off steeply to one side. I have been a VF3 runner the past season. These shoes were even better the VF4s will be my go-to marathon race shoe for the rest of the season!

How do I love thee, let me count the ways: Back to the second ideation in many ways but the feel is similar to the good old Vaporfly two days! I Love the energy return with the CF modification, hello race day celebration! It’s snug in the toe box but actually fits, the length is more generous, hey “look at those splits!” I never thought I’d say it after the 3, but Nike you redeemed yourself and made a happier me!
