Nike Swim Breaker

I was hesitant to change my swimsuit style, but I am glad I tried this. As a 40-year-old, I was stuck in the 2000s long shorts era and struggled to update my style. Nevertheless, I decided to try this swimsuit, and I really liked how it looked and felt. Yes, they are a bit shorter than I'm used to, but I immediately liked how I looked in these swim shorts. Further, they felt really good in the water, and it is quite an improvement from the drag I got with the longer shorts I used to wear. The fit is perfect, comfortable, and great for recreational swimming. Additionally, the color looks great. I got the light blue (it is like a cobalt blue), and it seems very stylish. That said, note that this color might blend in with blue pool floors; thus, if you have safety concerns, you might want to choose a different color. Regardless, the fit, style, and feel are great.

Overall I was happy with this swim suit. I typically wear a size medium in shorts and they fit true to size, I wear a size 32 waist for pants. As the name implies, they are 5” inseam so be aware they will fit shorter than typical shorts. Fabric was light and breathable and dried quickly when wet. They worked great for some beach volleyball and a quick dip in the ocean afterward. Only thing I would change is the brief lining, seemed a little smaller in than usual, but not bad if brief lined netting is your preference. Overall they are a nice pair of swim and lifestyle shorts, nothing crazy special and nothing bad about them, got the job done.

These were advertised as “volleyball shorts” but I used them as swimming shorts because of the inside netting which is usually on swimming shorts. The shorts are nice, very stylish and easy to work with. I love the draw strings having a hard plastic ring at the waist band to help prevent the strings from pulling into the waist band. This is overlooked on so many products as it happens to my children’s shorts often. The shorts include a left and right hand pocket large enough to easily fit your iPhone or wallet. They also include a back pocket with velcro for a secure feel. My main issue was the netting inside. So try these on before buying to determine the comfort level you have with it. I hope Nike considers the newer style of swimming trunks with the liner inside as I feel it’s more comfortable after long periods of time.
