Nike Sportswear Windpuffer

This parka has just the right level of fill, I’m not a fan of the puffers with the marshmallow effect because the filling is bursting at the seams (just me, maybe!). In any case, the hood coverage is phenomenal with minimal gaps. Received this before the winter season but will test in the windy, CO cold and come back! Otherwise, I prefer zipper less front pockets but love the hidden inner pocket with a snap to protect valuables. Fit is true to size, can’t wait to try this out in the cold and snow!

Personally, the function of this coat is better than the fashion appeal. It is an effective level of insulation while not being too heavy to be uncomfortable. It will trap heat well but it doesn’t feel too stuffy. The length is good functionally as well, as it will cover my lower back and butt. That is also a bit of a con though for looks since that’s not quite my preferred style, but in a cold winter day that is a major upside, so I’m glad to have it. There are nice touches throughout, including a really smooth zipper and a nice pocket on the inside which will prove extremely useful. It even snaps shut so the practicality is really commendable when doing physical activity in a really cold climate. The little white Nike swoosh is also a nice touch. Overall, functionally this is just about perfect and even goes beyond expectations. In terms of the look it’s not exactly what I’d reach for since it is just a simple black puffer and I like to have a bit more unique of a look, but this will be essential on freezing cold days. The removable hood is also a nice touch.

The parka is a great length. As someone who works outside I look for something that can cover a good portion of my legs to keep me as warm as possible. I am only 5’5” so it won’t go as far on taller people. The parka is large in size. I usually size up to fit multiple layers but in my opinion this coat runs large. I could fit many layers under the jacket. The material is nice and easy to clean. I do wish it was a little thicker to add warmth.
