Nike Ava X Mesh

Very lightweight, stylish, and comfortable. The Ava has a pretty thick outsole, especially under the heel which makes it squishy but not unstable. The heel cup and cushioning around the achilles locks the foot in place keeping the shoe secure. The mesh upper is both breathable and durable making them perfect for all day wear. The natural contour tongue is soft and thin which is a plus. At the price point, these are tough to beat for an everyday stylish athletic shoe and have become my new go to.

The fit felt true to size with a secure lockdown around the heel and midfoot without feeling too tight, and they were incredibly lightweight feel like a feather and comfortable right out of the box. The cushioning felt soft yet responsive for both walks and everyday wear. I took it on a 3 mile walk on a park on a hot day and my feet felt great. The mesh is very breathable even on a hot day. I also really liked the clean all-black design because it looks modern, sleek, and versatile enough for both workouts and casual outfits. The upper material felt breathable and flexible. The shoes have a premium feel overall especially for the price point . What I liked most was the combination of comfort and minimalist style, though I’d maybe add a little color accents on this colorway to make it feel a less one note design wise. I would recommend this shoe to anyone looking for a comfortable but stylish shoe that’s good for almost any activity.

Materials - Lightweight materials and construction. Breathable mesh. I feel like the materials will hold up decently overtime. The textures on the outsole were a very nice touch to give some depth and variety. One small update would be to the toebox which could use a little more material but it’s good enough. Fit - True to size. Snuggish but not too snug while still feeling locked in and having some wiggle room. Lightweight with good traction. The sole is squishy but still structural. Styling - Great low cut shoe that I feel pairs best with shorts or some kind of jogger/ tights. I wouldn’t style these shoes with long jeans. It can be done but I probably wouldn’t. I would also like to see maybe a difference in tone in some of the panels of the shoe so there is a little more depth instead of one solid color. Overall, a lightweight and comfortable daily shoe. Good for working out, good for walking, good for anything.
