Nike Pegasus Plus 2

I have to admit that after wearing many running shoes through the years I was not expecting much of the Pegasus Plus 2’s, but as soon as I tried them on I knew I was wrong. Not only do they fit as a glove and are light to wear, but as soon as you take your first steps you understand the meaning of walking in clouds. Every step you take, you feel the foam working to make every step comfortable and work with you and not against you. For quite some time I been looking for a pair of shoes I can wear every day, for over 8 hours of standing and moving around. And these shoes have become that pair. I can honestly say I don’t see myself wearing anything else. My feet at the end of the day feel well-rested and don’t hurt. The breathability of the entire shoe is a plus and a key reason my feet feel fresh and dry after many hours of wearing them. In addition the sole grips you to the ground, unlike other running shoes that tend to slip on certain surfaces. Lastly I don’t have to sacrifice comfort for style, because this pair can be worn with almost everything.

I’ve just clocked over 30 miles in these incredible shoes, and I’m happy to share my experience! As a runner who hits the pavement 3 to 4 times a week and races in a couple of 5ks annually, I was on the hunt for the perfect daily trainer after logging 300 miles in my Zoomfly 6s. After extensive research, I decided to give the Peg Plus 2s a try, and wow, am I glad I did! These shoes are an absolute game-changer. They offer everything you need in a versatile trainer: plush foam for those paced recovery runs and a responsive Zoom unit for quick tempo and speed sessions. The breathability is top-notch, and the fit is incredibly comfortable. They run true to size, and I can’t recommend them enough!

First off, I'm a 30 year old guy who loves to run for exercise (typically run 2 or 3 times per week) and am someone who has owned multiple different styles of running shoes. I'd say that, overall, these are excellent shoes for what they advertise that they do. However, there are some nuances / drawbacks that I believe are important to note. Fit / Style - The fit of these shoes is very good. They fit very true to size and do not squeeze the foot in any uncomfortable ways. I'd say that the overall style is very standard. There is not really anything stand out about the design of the shoe for me (neither a good thing or a bad thing in my opinion). Performance / Materials - This is where the shoes really shined for me. I truly do feel as if more of my energy is being returned and applied into my stride with this shoe. They are very bouncy and that feels really nice when you are in your rhythm. It really makes the run feel effortless in a lot of ways because of that. The shoe material is also extremely light which helps you feel nimble / explosive on your feet. Drawbacks - There were only two main things that I could say about this shoe that could be interpreted more negatively. The first is that when you run in these they want to bounce your feet inward towards each other. This was a bit awkward for me and I did not love it. I had to adjust my stride a bit to accomodate that and I do not necessarily love a shoe that forces me to do that. The second was more minor and was related to the design of the tongue. It just feels very thin and cheap and the design makes it a bit hard to put the shoe on. Despite the above, I would still recommend buying these shoes. The stride adjustment is not too hard to overcome and I think the pros outweigh the cons here.
