Stiff and impractical fabric for oversize

Not pleased with these pants, they are quite a stiff material which is impractical in this baggy design. The fabric made it awkward to tighten the toggle near the ankle, and it also looked awkward. I am usually a size M and got S as per reviews (72cm-74cm waist) and the bagginess was fine, definitely more generous than other oversize pants ive had but the waist was true to measurements, obviously they are oversized. but I felt like I was having myself around with the sound of swooshing. I have oversized denim pants which do this but it's smoother. I could not see myself wearing these and I felt they would only get stiffer with each wash like a hard towel. Disappointed, and I guess I'll keep it in mi d that future baggy pants should probably be parachute or some other more specific and practical fabric. They dont look so bad but also I decided the cream colour was a bad move for me
