Socks get wet

I bought the Nike Dunk Gore-Tex specifically to keep my feet dry in rain and light snow, and unfortunately it hasn't lived up to that expectation. I’m currently in Budapest and the conditions are wet with slushy sidewalks & moisture still gets through and my socks end up damp - which is exactly what I was trying to avoid with this model. Comfort and style are fine, I can’t knock that, but if you're buying these primarily for weather protection, they don't perform like true Gore-Tex footwear should. I own a pair of Jordan 1 element Highs & Pegasus 41 that perform just fine compared to these. I may have just gotten a defective pair, but I wouldn't rely on them for rainy or snowy days. I will be trying to get either a refund of replacement since I now have to purchase an alternative pair while on vacay.
