Guys, I had the same popping sound issue and almost put the sneakers in the trash but I found a definite solution: 1 - Rip the insole 2 - put a LOT of baby powder inside the shoe and also in the glued part of the insole 3 - Smear the inside of the shoe where the insole meets the midsole with your hand, and make sure that the insole isn't sticky as well. 4 - Put the insole back into the shoe. Problem fixed. I think it's the insole glue that makes the sound because the midsole is a closed cell foam one. I did this only once, and I've been wearing the shoes almost daily for almost a year with no issues. I have the beige and safety orange ones.

I’ll never buy Nikes with this treading again. Like others said, they make a clicking sound with every step due to the thick treads. Mine are still almost brand new but I’m too embarrassed/annoyed to wear them. They make the sound on every kind of surface, even when hiking. Avoid any shoes with these soles!

If not for the clicking sound in the soles, style and comfort are great. It's not right away, but after a few weeks, they'll sound like you're wearing taps on your shoes.
