ACG Lava Loft

This is a great jacket perfect for a lightweight top layer when exercising outside! Not only does it feel great, it looks amazing too. Most of my outdoor clothes are not stylish but this jacket is sleek, well designed, and looks great. I loved the feel of the jacket too. It is easy to take on and off and feels practically weightless. One thing would change about the design is making it a little longer in the body. The sleeves were perfect in fit, but the body of the jacket was a little short. Some of my sweatshirts or longer shirts showed below the hem. The other design that I didn't love is there are elastic loops that appear to be thumb holes but they are very narrow loops. They aren't very comfortable to put my thumbs in the loops but also felt weird with them hanging out by my wrists too. Perhaps I am missing something in the design. The design of the overall jacket though is great! I wore this with temperatures in the 40s and 50s and the airflow is fantastic making it the perfect jacket for exercising. It is lightweight which is perfect for hiking, biking, and walking and also packs down and can stuff in to its own pocket which is great when bringing extra layers in a backpack. Overall, I am really happy with this jacket and the way it performs. The thing I like the most is the overall look and appearance of the jacket. The only thing I would change is the length and adding a bit more comfort around the thumb holes.

I really love this jacket! It fits perfectly, true to size without being too tight or too loose. The material feels amazing. It’s lightweight, warm, breathable, and really easy to layer without feeling bulky or restricting movement. What I especially like is how versatile it is. It has a really sporty look that’s perfect for running, walking, or working out, but it also looks great with everyday clothes. I’ve worn it with shorts for a more athletic look, but you could easily pair it with leggings or jeans and wear it out casually. It’s one of those jackets that looks good without having to put much thought into an outfit. It’s also really packable, which is a big plus. I’ve worn it for both running and walking, and it’s been great for both. So far, I honestly haven’t found anything I would change. I love the fit, the comfort, and the overall style.

I loved the sporty design of this jacket and thought it might be good for my fall road trip to northern Cali, but I didn’t realize how good it would be! The baffles in the jacket seemed like a gimmick to me, but apparently they just make the jacket the perfect layer for a huge range of temperatures. I did a lot of hiking on my trip - it was not too hot as a windbreaker/sun shade in 80 degrees in Tahoe and it was warm enough in the 40 degree cool mornings in the redwood forest at the coast. My one annoyance was that the zipper pulls are small and flexible so they can be a little tricky to use, but that was the only thing I didn’t love. It packs up small within its own inner pocket so no separate bag to lose which is great.
