I have rated these socks a 4 out of 5. The delivery came on time, and while after a few washes they lost their brightness and the colour dropped, they sufficed as a sport sock on regular sporting occasions. The 4 star rating comes from a troubling run which occurred last week. I had done a quick 27km on the bicycle, to be followed by a controlled 7.5km run. I wore a pair of the socks during this training session. The bike went well, but at roughly 1.5km in to the run my stomach began to rumble in a fashion that was extremely worrying. A rumble that everyone knows, it was time. I breathed deeply and my stomach calmed. I continued my run. At 3.5 km my stomach rumbled aggressively, I clenched, my body shook, gas and air released regardless of every ounce of my strength being put in to clenching to stop the inevitable. I scrambled to find a location, a rock face followed by some trees. I couldn’t hold it. The shame, the guilt. I let go. Only to look around and recognise I was at the back of a country houses garden. I hoped and prayed nobody would come. I hesitantly removed my nike sock, and cleaned myself. The sock did a great job, squeaky clean. I have given 4 stars rather than 5 due to the aggressive feel of the sock on my body. They could be softer.
