Air Jordan 16 & Converse Chuck 70 High

Jordan 'Why Not?' x Converse Pack

One of basketball’s fiercest competitors, Russell Westbrook plays with a grit that has driven him to where he is today. And grit is the key insight behind the Jordan ‘Why Not?’ x Converse Pack.
Comprised of a black Air Jordan 16 and an Egret Converse Chuck 70, both shoes feature an embroidered chain graphic broken in spots to resemble Russell Westbrook’s gritty play and chain nets found on street basketball hoops.
In addition to Westbrook’s grit on the court, his unmatched style and sense of fashion has no boundaries. Both shoes are inspired by his rockstar aesthetic on and off the court and feature a range of textures – from leather to suede and satin – that nod to Rock and Roll-styled leather jackets, a staple in Westbrook's wardrobe.

Air Jordan 16

Playing off of Russell Westbrook's duality of performance and style, this Air Jordan 16 features a magnetic shroud that instantly transforms the shoe from a fashion statement to a performance basketball shoe with a quick pull.
A broken chain graphic is embroidered in black on the upper of the shoe, a nod back to Russ’ gritty play and love of street-style basketball. Other elements point to Westbrook's rockstar status, with premium shiny leather on the toe, mesh materials applied throughout the upper, and metal studs dotting the shroud. For even more material grit, a silver metal "Why Not?" logo is featured on the tongue and can also be found embossed on the heel.

Converse Chuck 70 High

One of Russell Westbrook's favorite sneakers, the Converse Chuck 70 is a timeless classic and aligns to his west coast fashion perspective. He can often be seen wearing Converse during his tunnel walk into the arena.
Similar to the AJ16, a broken chain graphic is embroidered in Egret on the upper of the shoe, while a crackled leather upper represents peeling concrete, another nod to Westbrook's grit and love of street-style basketball. The iconic All Star patch and "Why Not?" tongue logo on these Chucks are made with silver metal as are the rivets featured on the heel, drawing parallels to design elements on the AJ16. You can also find Westbrook's signature "Why Not?" written on the laces as a symbol of his approach to fashion.
