- The recycled polyester used in Nike products begins as recycled plastic bottles, which are cleaned, shredded into flakes and converted into pellets. Where is the quality control that NIKE uses? How is it possible that I bought this jersey for my twins and just this spring they wore it twice and washed it on a gentle cycle and it came out ripped?
