Part of our Brothers of the World project, this shirt's number 14 pays homage to the Dutch legend. He chose to wear the number, despite it normally being reserved for substitutes at the time. While the inspiration is Dutch, the shirt's colours come from Slam Jam: black, white and red.
In addition to the colours, the "Fast Youth" graphic is a tribute to Slam Jam's community spirit. The emblem combines the symbol of anarchist thinking with the Greek letter Omega, to create a logo that represents the ideal Slam Jam team.
SLAM JAM'S STORY
Founded in 1989, Slam Jam is an Italian streetwear company with roots in the art, skate and club culture scenes.
Back in the '80s when it all began, youth subcultures started influencing fashion with their raw energy. Slam Jam rode that wave to become a beacon of style, distributing a new and unusual mix of clothing across the European landscape.
Their influence over the years has gone beyond fashion, with everything from skate events to collaborations with musicians, artists and photographers—making them an all-round creative force.
