Extra Warmth for Chilly Runs

This vest is doing a lot of work for it's size and weight. Does a really solid job keeping your core warm without weighing you down. I wore this on several runs when the temp was 55ºF and it was the perfect extra layer. The outer shell helps keep cold breezes out and looks like it could wick some light rain, if needed. This vest has some nice reflective accents on the front and back that help you stay visible to drivers for those early morning or late night runs when there isn't much light outside. There are some other subtle reflective elements on the front shoulders and mid-back that add some of that classic Nike style and flair. I would likely only wear this to run in, but could maybe wear out and about casually. I probably couldn't dress this piece up and wear with jeans or in an office setting. Zippered pockets in the front are great keep some small items secure, but if you had a phone or anything heavier in them, they would likely jostle around. The side mesh pockets are more for style than function, in my opinion. Any items put in there would not be very secure and is also just an awkward location to store anything. The only thing I wish this vest had was extra small hidden pockets either on the inside or on the lower back to secure something like a phone or car keys more securely. Overall, this is a great layering piece for those chilly runs in late fall/early spring to keep you warm but still feel fast.
