How This Was Made

The recycled polyester used in Nike products begins as recycled plastic bottles, which are cleaned, shredded into flakes and converted into pellets. From there, the pellets are spun into new, high-quality yarn used in our products, delivering peak performance with a lower impact on the environment.
In addition to reducing waste, recycled polyester produces up to 30% lower carbon emissions than virgin polyester. Nike diverts an average of 1 billion plastic bottles annually from landfill and waterways.

I picked these shorts up on Saturday and wore them for my first workout today, and I’m already impressed. The workout was 5 rounds of 10 back squats, then a tough 6 rounds for time with bar-over burpees, power snatches, pull-ups, and overhead squats, and they performed flawlessly. The fit was great without being restrictive, even during heavy squats and overhead movements. They stayed in place, handled sweat well, and allowed full range of motion through every rep. They’re officially my favorite shorts now!

I don't know if I got an one-off but this year's version is much wider than the previous cut. see attached pic. The new shorts are on the bottom. Everything else is fine.
