The Nike Free Metcon 7 is a great option if you need a dedicated gym shoe. Not only were the shoes very comfortable they were also great for lifting. These shoes are great if you are a hybrid athlete. I found that they had just the right amount of cushion for cardio for long sessions of incline treadmill or stair master but were also stable enough to do heavy deadlifts and squats. I was able to…

Solid Trainers
Admittedly when I first got the Free Metcon 7s I was a bit skeptical, but after having tried them as part of my usual routine they turned out to be a very dependable pair for working out. They were very supportive, especially for leg routines and squats especially. I'm a huge fan of the slightly raised arched footbed to just give a little extra support. They're not the most comfortable but they're…

Great training shoe
I’ve been training in the Nike Metcon Free 7 for several weeks now, and they’ve quickly become my go-to gym shoe. The elevated heel provides excellent support and stability during squats, helping me feel more planted and confident under heavier loads. Whether I’m lifting, doing functional fitness workouts, or moving through accessory work, they’ve performed exactly as I hoped.
Comfort is…

The new Metcon!!
This is my first time trying out gym dedicated shoes that are actually designed with stability in mind. I was pleasantly surprised how different it feels compared to what I am used to wearing when going to the gym. What I am used to wearing is my running shoes or my air max. The fit is true to size in both width and length, although the width is a little tight but also not uncomfortable. …

Good everything shoe!
When I got these in the mail I was skeptical, but they really work for a lot of activities. I am a janitor and a coach so I move around a lot. Typically my legs get sore at the end of the day, but these shoes proved different. They felt good when I was wearing them during my coaching and janitor duties. When working out in them they felt great, good stability and traction. I played some basketball…

Size up!
I generally wear a size 10 for Nike (10.5 for most Jordans) and I'd start by saying that these run a bit narrow AND short. I can feel my pinky toes being gently tucked inward and there's a little less room in front of my toes in the toebox than I'd like. This is my first pair of metcons so I can't compare them to previous generations.
There are no active hotspots from a comfort standpoint,…

Sleek & Supportive
The Nike Free Metcon 7s are awesome. They look incredibly sleek without compromising on comfort or support. I have a wider foot and use these for both gym workouts and walking. While they can start to feel a little tight after longer wear, they are overall very comfortable. I usually need wide widths in other brands, so I was really excited that these Nikes still worked well for me while looking…

Better than the 5’s and 6’s for lifting!
Love these for lifting and hiit workouts! I’ve also had the Metcon 5’s and 6’s, but I like these the best so far! They are definitely not as tight though, but I like that about them. I don’t wear them for running or long distance walks.

Nice Metcon Alternative
The metcon free 7’s were very comfortable for my workout. It felt very versatile and allowed me to transition between weightlifting and cardio very easily. On the other hand, I didn’t find them as stable as my metcon 10’s due to the height of the heel, and I found that they didn’t offer the same amount of grip for heavy sled pushes. That being said, depending on my workout plan for the day, the metcon free 7’s are a great alternative and nice to add into my shoe rotation!
