This is my first Zegama experience, and I could not be happier. Almost immediately bought a second pair… I don’t use these for trail running, but I coach baseball, am on my feet all day 6 days a week, & take 10k+ steps a day.
Over the years, I’ve leaned toward softer, light weight shoes simply for comfort. Over time, I’ve started to like the very soft, pillowy, high stack feel less (Vomero/Adizero Evo SL). It just feels unnatural when you’re walking around. The Zegama provides a lower stack, which provides a more natural ride, but also provides that same softness to keep your feet comfortable, while the cushlon and outsole provide stability at the same time. They almost propel you forward, but not as aggressively as a lot of the “rocker” type shoes do. Again, a more natural feel.
This could seriously be my favorite shoe of all time in terms of on foot feel. On top of that, I coach in Florida, and these breathe very well. Feet aren’t dying after wearing in 90+ degrees all day. The bootie/tongue are also genius, and although logical for trail running, are great for baseball as well. No annoying dirt or seed shells getting in your shoes. Add a slightly wider toe box for some wiggle room, and we’ve got an absolute banger here.
Could not be more impressed and will be buying at least 1 more pair of these for casual wear as well. Get yourself a pair. Whether you run, walk, coach ball, or just spend a lot of time on your feet all day, these are it. And have gotten countless compliments on how they look.
