What is it about those old-school Kentucky kits from your uncle's era that stand the test of time? It's gotta be the denim. This special Book 2 celebrates the 30-year anniversary of those iconic threads, taking its inspiration from Book's alma mater – the bluegrass state's true blueblood with a long line of 'chips and lotto picks.

We moved the Air Zoom unit from the heel to the forefoot for low-profile responsiveness.

AF1-Inspired Traction

    Dope shoe. Very unique mid top feel on the court. Y’all gotta start half sizing up on everything nike basketball. They feel so much better with the appropriate size. True to size is dead. Wearing shoes snug is not thing anymore. It’s too much tech/padding/extra cushioning in these new school shoes. Start experimenting with your shoes in half size bigger. Even the stiffness of the upper you can appreciate more when you have the right size. Word to wise though nike. Please have hoopers/real people try these new kicks on before y'all put them out for the public. Looking forward to the mesh materials on the Spiridon colorway. Nike please make make Book 2’s with the mesh than with the molded upper. I rock with the book 2’s though don’t sleep.

    LONG Break in but once you get thru that they get more and more comfortable. They are on the thicker and heavier side. I expect them to last long time and be a great multi purpose shoe. I left them in the sun for a few days and it soften the shoe up and made it easier to flex. You can also leave them in the car and soften them too.

    Better lookin and better than the Book 1 with the exception of the break in period which was brutal. If you can survive that you will reap the benefits of a very well put together sneaker that gets the job done and looks dope on feet/on court.
