Nike Academy

Got these shorts for my 9 yo son who plays various sports and goes to outdoor summer camp. He’s a 14/16; we got a large and they fit well; I’d venture to say these do run smaller than other Nike shorts. He likes them, I don’t really think they did anything to help his performance but they are quick drying, and have pockets - which not all sports shorts do - and it’s a must for us as we need somewhere to put mouth guards when he’s not actively playing. The material is also really light so he wasn’t complaining about the feel on his skin. I did not care for the mixed material (side panel is mesh and trim is mesh) versus the “tech” material for the rest of the short-I know it’s a style choice but I don’t think it added anything. Also, there are two rather large tags inside that make no sense-you have nice quick dry moisture wicking shorts and then two giant tags. Go tagless. My son likes loud colors, so these aren’t a go-to for him but if they were, say highlighter yellow or bright green he’d probably want to wear them more.

Shorts were well fitting even on my slim child. He used the drawstrings only when he had extra toys in the pockets to keep the shorts up on his waist. The color blocking was nice and the large logo on the side didn’t take away from the styling.

These are great athletic shorts for my son! They are comfortable, fit as expected, and great for everyday wear or sports. Highly recommend.
