LeBron XXIII 4 of 23
'GRAND OPENING'
The sports universe came to a standstill when LeBron made his NBA debut against the Sacramento Kings on 29 October 2003. He didn't just meet the moment— he owned it. Wearing Zoom Generation shoes, LeBron scored a dozen points in the opening quarter and unveiled the ferocious tomahawk dunk that would become his trademark fast-break finish. "He's done everything and then some", marvelled the announcer on the televised broadcast. LeBron racked up 25 points, 6 rebounds, 9 assists and 4 steals by the final buzzer, leaving no doubt that the future had arrived ahead of schedule.

All in the Decorations
Inspired by the Nike Zoom Generation shoes LeBron wore during his
NBA debut, the LeBron XXIII 'Grand Opening' features an all-white
upper with a jacquard pattern portraying a lion's mane, a nod to one
of LeBron's first Nike campaigns. The first logos used at the beginning
of his run with Nike make an appearance on the heel, while the
sidewall mimics the mesh from that era. To cap it off, a black border
outlines the midfoot crown and a gold medial Swoosh (the only one in the
LeBron XXIII line) cements the finishing touches.
