Originally a limited edition launch in 2014, this Kobe 9 Low returns in Protro form and honors the deep passion for basketball throughout the Philippines. Taking inspiration from the banig, the traditional Filipino craft of weaving that brings communites together, a distinct print wraps the engineered mesh upper. Numerology references are layered over the design in a hand-painted style commonly seen in barangay gyms. Contained within the translucent outsole is a graphic of a tsinelas, or flip-flop, recognizing a familiar sight of hoopers throughout the Philippines and reflecting a love of the game that transcends footwear. Additional details include chrome metallic accents that reference the jeepney. Built for an elite court feel, the Protro model comes ready to perform. Its breathable upper is all about lightweight performance. Underfoot, a drop-in React foam midsole offers responsive cushioning, helping you feel connected to the court.
