- The recycled polyester used in Nike products begins as recycled plastic bottles, which are cleaned, shredded into flakes and converted into pellets. We have purchased these at Dick’s in the past with no issue. The two we just bought through Nike are a total disappointment. After one wash the logo has come off and the stitching has shredded some. Very disappointing. My son used his birthday gift card to partially buy these.
