Nike Academy+

Pros: The jacket design is very nice. It’s also light weight and does not feel stuffy. It has a warm felling with the mesh layer inside and has the water repellent material outside which is also good. Cons: However the sizing and fit quality is poor. I have a lot of different Nike clothing lines and typically wear medium for almost all clothing with Nike, depending on the item description fit, here it’s shown as “ standard fit: easy and traditional”, I would say this is misleading. The arms run short with any kind of movement, it pulls up about two inches, which isn’t too much of an issue when running, but does get quite annoying when wearing it around daily. This jacket was intended for football- so training, running, working out- yet the jacket feels quite restrictive in movement. I can mostly feel it near the shoulder and back area when moving in different directions or when trying to reach across with both arms . There is a tight pulling across the mid back and near the lats area which makes it uncomfortable. And the aglet of the hood drawstring is the old cheap clear plastic wrap, whereas the rubber/ whole encased plastic covering are much better as they last longer and are more durable. Overall, the jacket is well enough for daily use and has a nice warm feeling. It is also true to size and has good body length, it doesn’t look tight or bulky. However as I intended on buying this for sports/ activities I would suggest in looking for something else, as it doesn’t have much stretch in the material and the actual fit is restrictive when you’d assume there would be good movement while wearing it- I believe this may be due to the double lining/ inner mesh size.

This is a very stylish and comfortable jacket. Beyond that, it’s also great at blocking out wind to stay nice and toasty on cold days. I wore this on a cold and windy California night and felt fine all night. There is a mesh lining to help wick away sweat should you choose to exercise in this. The sleeves are highly functional with that in mind. They have a cinched end at the wrist to prevent bunching. I recommend for sport or leisure.

The Repel jacket strikes a nice balance between style and comfort. It’s lightweight, soft, and very comfortable to wear, making it a great choice for everyday use. The materials feel premium, from the fabric to the zipper, giving the jacket a high-quality impression overall. That said, the fit could use some improvement. The body is cut rather wide while the sleeves run a bit short. It’s not a dealbreaker, but something to keep in mind. I wouldn’t recommend the size Large for taller people with longer arms, as the proportions might feel slightly off. Overall, a stylish and comfortable jacket with excellent materials, but consider sizing carefully if you’re tall.
