The wave-like traction pattern is a series of cascading studs, so it engages more surface area of the Air Zoom unit while also providing the appropriate amount of grip.

Great fit without too much coverage so I can still feel the ground

[This review was collected as part of a promotion.] These cleats have a great fit with enough cushion to protect your foot but not too much that you lose feeling in the ground or when making contact with a ball. The short ankle sock is enough to cover and protect the ankle a bit but not too smothering that it limits movement.
