A sneaker that doesn’t check all the boxes

I really wanted to love the Nike Women’s Air Max Fire. They look great and definitely have that cool, retro vibe Nike is known for. And don’t get me wrong, they’re comfortable enough for short walks and casual outings. The Air Max cushioning in the heel gives a nice little bounce, and I appreciate the overall quality feel of the shoe. That said… they weren’t quite the home run I was hoping for. Right out of the box, they felt a bit snug, especially around the forefoot, and it took a few wears to break them in. If you tend to have wider feet, you might find them a touch tight (I sure did). After a couple hours on my feet, they started to feel a little stiff, not uncomfortable exactly, but not as supportive as I expected either. Style-wise, they’re cute and pair well with casual outfits, which is a plus. But overall, I’d say they’re pretty average. They are decent for everyday wear but not outstanding in comfort or performance. Worth trying if you like the look, but don’t be surprised if they land more in the “okay” category for you.
