              Measuring your band size

Wrap a soft tape measure around your ribcage, just under your bust—that's your band size. Keep it level and snug. Not too tight, not too loose.

              No tape measure? No problem.

A piece of string, a shoelace or ribbon work too. Wrap it around your ribcage, just under your bust. Mark where it meets, then measure the length with a ruler. Easy.

              Find your bra size

Match your band measurement to the size chart. If you're between sizes, go for the bigger one—a little extra room always feels better than too tight. If you need a bigger size, check out the women's sizes below.

When to use the women's size tool

If your measurements are at the upper end of the girls' size chart (or you need more support, like a bra with cups), it's time to check out the women's size chart. The women's sizes overlap with the larger girls' sizes, so you might find your best fit there, especially for high-support bras.

For most of our low- and medium-support bras (cupless styles), you'll just need your alpha size, like XS, S, M or L.

For high-support bras with cups, you'll need both your alpha size and your cup size. For example, if you usually wear a size medium and your cup size is C, look for "M (C–E)" in the women's chart.

              Find your women's bra size

Getting the right size bra is crucial to lock in all the benefits. Grab a tape measure and an unlined bra to see how you measure up in Nike Bras. If you don't have a tape measure, string and a ruler work too.

              First, measure your band size
              Second, measure your cup
              Your Nike Bra size

              First, measure your band size

Measure around the bra's bottom band, just under the bust. The tape measure should feel snug. Round up to the closest measurement. If you don't have a tape measure, use string and a ruler. Follow the above instructions. Lay the string on a flat surface and measure with the ruler.

              Second, measure your cup

With the tape measure parallel to the floor, lay the tape across the fullest point of your breast. Measure from the centre of your chest to where your breast tissue ends on one side (where an underwire should sit). Round up to the closest measurement.

                          FAQs

When do I need a bra with cups vs. one without?

You'll want a bra with cups for high-support activities, like running, HIIT or intense team sports. For lower-impact days like yoga, Pilates or strength training, a bra without cups gives you plenty of comfort and freedom to move.

How do girls' sizes overlap with women's?

Girls' bras offer more coverage for extra comfort and support. If you're reaching the top end of the girls' size chart or want a different fit, it might be time to try women's sizes. There's some overlap between girls' and women's sizes: for example, a girls' S usually matches up with a women's XS and so on. Check the size chart above to see how your size translates.
