Better but not best..
I dont normally order this kind of converse but I gave these a shot, because I'm a teacher and need a little more cushion. They are more comfortable, but the only thing that keeps my rating at a 4 instead of a 5 is the tongue is missing the loop to feed the laces through to keep it in place. Without that the tongue slides to the side and can become uncomfortable.

This makes 151 in my collection!
I am a collector. I have at least 150 pairs. More high tops and during the summer I like low tops with shorts so I needed basic black. I love 70s so I am glad I finally got black low top 70s. I wear a lot of black so I have had them on every day since I got them. I have to sometimes but I rarely wear anything else.

Just buy the all stars
Bought these thinking they were an upgrade from the All Stars. They differ too much from the all stars; don’t fit the same way. Kind of just wished I had simply bought the standard All Stars.

Better than the classic All Stars
Better than the classic All Stars I usually get. They have better support and are more comfortable and I like the slightly off-white look. They do run a bit big. I'm usually a size 10 so I got these in a 9.5 and they are still a bit too large. Good shoes!

Cool but squeaky
First off, I love how they look, as I have for more than 50 years. I am perplexed, however, by the small differences in these and my others . . . I like the off-white laces, toe cap and trim, but the toe cap is really shiny compared to my last black ones. And the proportions are different.
