Nike Mercurial Superfly 11 Academy

Right away upon unboxing these cleats, I knew I needed to size up at least a half size if not a full size. I didn’t even bother attempting to put these on. Luckily my brother is a half size smaller than me and I had him try them on and he said they felt extremely comfortable but definitely snug. I really liked the sock liner for the high top as it provides support without a the typical high top feel. The colors look great and for the price, I think they’re a solid boot. Definitely try on before you buy!

Just when you think Nike couldn't make their soccer boots any better, they drop the 11. Glove like-feel that's incredibly light. Easy to slip on/off with an easy lacing system. The elastic upper really helped my ankles feel secure when cutting and making fast movements. The design is sleek, simply, and just the right amount of branding. I really liked the way I looked in them which really helped me feel good while playing. The grip on the upper felt really sticky to the ball which is great for dribbling and juggling. I have not played these in harsh conditions like rain or snow yet but I'm interested to see how well the grip holds up over time. I'm also interested to see how the cleat holds up under the same conditions. Overall, these new boots from Nike are incredible and I highly recommend anyone to purchase these for your next go-to boots. My only recommendation is to go up a half-size if you like a little bit of room in your boots. Otherwise, go TTS if you like a snug fit.

The cleats fit true to size and have a snug fit and didn't require any break in time. It should fit even if you're in the wider size but I would recommend the Superfly Academy since the upper can a stretch a little more. Compare to the Mercurial Academy the fitting depends if you prefer a one-piece tongue and collar fit/feeling or a more traditional fit with a traditional tongue found in the Mercurial Academy. I like design of the one piece tongue and collar since is the same stretchy material making the fit very comfortable. The color combination of black and green is perfect in this pair! The material for the upper and outsole are okay for the entry pair, the feel of the ball is great and still feel like a Mercurial Superfly. What I like most of this pair is the fit, I was honestly surprised on how good they fit and didn't need any break in time to feel comfortable, something I was expecting to do in this pair. I like all the color ways of this new models, but I think this one is my favorite! Something I would change is inner material that supports the upper since it can absorb water when playing in rainy conditions. It's not something major but it's a little change that I would like for the next model.Overall, a great beginner pair that still feels like a Mercurial Superfly!
