First things first, the fleece is comfy. Like that soft pillowy type. I’ve worn this jacket on a trail, to the office and out for errands. Although it’s lightweight, it is warm. Especially when it was windy. I could feel the difference in temperature when having this jacket on but unzipped. Great for outdoor adventures as it’s lightweight but will keep you warm. Good for cold offices as it’s a fleece and fits the casual aesthetic. Okay to run errands in if the sun isn’t out. Can’t wait to see how it holds up during colder seasons. For a unisex jacket, the chest area was lacking for those blessed in that department. The fit/length favors those of shorter stature. Favorite detail has to the double zippers. It’s convenient. Least favorite (besides the size of the chest area) is that it looks like a plain ordinary fleece. But as the wearer, you know what you have.

This product was sleek, warm, and thrived in all conditions like its namesake. I wore this fishing, running, walking, sitting on the couch, and even to work. This fleece kept me warm and comfortable during every activity I used it. I loved the look, black on black is super clean and elevates any outfit. Although it was a bit short the fit was quite nice. The arm length was good, the width was perfect, but the torso length was a bit small. Granted I’m a bit on the taller side but still a bit short. Overall love the product and can’t wait to keep wearing it.

The fit on this jacket is a bit awkward because of how short it is. It sits right above the waist (I'm 5'10"), which feels more like a cropped cut than a standard fit. I get it that's starting to be the trend, but this is meant to be a layer, not the outerjaeket. The fabric is very light, but I wish it were a little tighter fit. If you try to size up to get more length, you will likely end up with a fit that is too wide and loose in the chest, which is a tough tradeoff. It is great to see a large amount of recycled material used here. For performance, this piece definitely prioritizes warmth. Even with light activity, the warmth builds up and does not dissipate quickly. On a 55 degree day, I found it was actually too much and I felt overheated. However, when I used it as a layer under a down jacket, it worked perfectly to trap heat on a sub 50 degree day. It is a solid choice for freezing weather, but it is not something I would reach for in mild conditions. When it comes to movement like walking or light training, the short length is hard to ignore. My workaround was layering it under a vest. This hid the short hemline and made the fit issues less noticeable while keeping my core warm. For durability, it handled a cold wash and low heat dry okay. There was some minor shrinkage, mostly in the width rather than the length. I was impressed that the zipper area stayed flat and did not get that super wavy look that usually happens when fabric shrinks around the hardware. If you need a dedicated mid layer for very cold days, this is a good buy. It works best when paired with a vest or a heavier coat to balance out the proportions. It is not the most versatile piece for everyday wear because of the venting issues and the cut, but it is a functional tool for a specific winter layering system.
