Women's Running Shorts

Built to move with every stride

Whether you're training or competing, women’s running shorts need to feel light, secure and ready to move with your stride. Nike's running shorts for women are made for everything from quick lunchtime miles to longer weekend routes. Choose stripped-back racing silhouettes for a barely-there feel, or go for extra coverage with a 2-in-1 pair when you want more support through the miles. Soft fabrics and smooth seams move with your body, so you can forget about your kit and focus on how good the run feels.

Find a fit that works for you

Every runner has a different rhythm. That's why our collection includes loose and tight running shorts, as well as biker shapes and brief-lined options. High-waisted designs offer a compression feel, while mid-rise pairs sit comfortably at your natural waist for easy movement. Shorter inseams help your stride out, while longer lengths add coverage for stretching, warm-ups and gym sessions. If you're comparing women's running shorts for speed work, recovery runs or everyday training, start with the fit that lets you move freely.

Stay dry, cool and focused

Nike performance technology helps keep distractions low. Nike Dri-FIT shorts move sweat away from your skin for faster evaporation, helping you stay dry and comfortable. Nike Dri-FIT ADV tech takes that further with advanced moisture-wicking performance combined with breathable zones in high-heat areas. Lightweight mesh panels and airy weaves help increase airflow when the pace picks up. Stretch materials let each pair flex with your stride, while smooth linings help reduce friction with repeated movement.

Ready for training, trails and everyday wear

Our women's shorts for running are on hand to handle more than one route. Track-inspired pairs with tulip hems are your go-to for fast-paced intervals and sprint sessions. Trail-running shorts bring a little more coverage and lots of storage for days when you're eating up the miles. Water-repellent fabrics help you stay comfortable in light showers, while reflective design elements add visibility in low-light conditions. Off the road, our shorts work just as hard for strength training, travel days and relaxed everyday wear after your run.

Details that make the difference

Small features can make all the difference to your run. Inner drawcords let you adjust your waistband to achieve a secure fit. Slip and zipped pockets keep keys, cards or gels close without getting in the way. Pick designs with smooth linings to eliminate friction. Select styles are made with recycled materials, so you can choose performance pieces designed with a lower-impact approach. Whatever the session, Nike running shorts for women help you move with comfort, control and focus.
