How This Was Made

  • The recycled polyester used in Nike products begins as recycled plastic bottles, which are cleaned, shredded into flakes and converted into pellets. From there, the pellets are spun into new, high-quality yarn used in our products, delivering peak performance with a lower impact on the environment.
  • In addition to reducing waste, recycled polyester produces up to 30% lower carbon emissions than virgin polyester. Nike diverts an average of 1 billion plastic bottles annually from landfill and waterways.

  • Understated and very cool

    Jonah - 14 May 2024

This hoodies is very understated and just looks cool. Everyone that saw it asked about it and it’s very comfortable and light. Goes with pretty much anything and keeps you warm but not overly heavy like other hoodies. Very sleek design especially how the pockets are made. Just throw it on with some joggers and Jordan’s and it looks slick! Love it and will only wear it more and more!

  • More fashion than function.

    Syraquse - 14 May 2024

    - Fit and feel: Boxy, baggy, too stiff to be billowy. If you're looking for some extra wiggle room, this'll work for you. The extra room helps hide this beer belly I'm trying to get rid of. - Design: Well, it's definitely different. There are no zippers. The pocket is big, but not great for anything you don't want to drop. There are no drawstrings. I don't like drawstrings, so that's usually a plus for me. On this hoodie, it's... fine. No real complaints, but I don't love it. The hood doesn't droop down in the front, which is mostly due to the properties of the material, which I will get to later. I have really long arms and the sleeves are long, even for me. I had to fold back the sleeve cuff so that I could look at my watch without using my other hand to move the sleeve out of the way. Ended up just cuffing both to even them out. The neck hole is small. I have a relatively small head and I still have to take off my glasses and take some effort to put the hoodie on or take it off. Again, mostly a property of the material used to make this hoodie. - Materials: I appreciate the effort/innovation, but ultimately, the material feels like it's going to take some breaking in. It's stiff, and even after being washed it doesn't really just drape. I'm sitting it in as I type this, and the chest is just puffed up on its own. I have to take my hand and smooth it down to make it feel like I'm not wearing a heavy-duty garbage bag. I really hope it'll become more pliable over time. I'm also not looking forward to it pilling up and having lint balls all over the hoodie. According to the hangtag that came with it: "Due to the special method of make, this garment will show a pilling effect on the surface of the material over time and requires special care. Please refer to the care instruction label for details." It's also not entirely clear whether it's dryer safe, so I hung it to dry. I did notice a couple small lint balls after the first wash, but I am unsure whether they had already developed before that wash. The creases that were in the hoodie from being folded in the packaging are still visible after washing and wearing. On a positive note, I wore it briefly in light rain, and it seemed to be dry again before I realized it. (it also seemed to dry quickly after it was washed.) I also didn't feel like it was permeating the hoodie. The fabric also seems to hold heat pretty well. -What I liked most: Not a lot to highlight, but I guess I like the novelty of the material. -What I would've liked: zippers on the pocket. If not that, a pocket within the pocket, with its own zipper. Even better, both! Maybe a half-zip at the neck, or at least a wider neck hole if the material isn't going to stretch a bit over time. Overall, I wouldn't say that this hoodie is particularly bad, just not really for me as a go-to. It's not very functional. It's probably for you if you want a quirky but subtle fashion statement.

  • Nike Forward Hoodie - Review

    Nike Forward Hoodie - 13 May 2024

I was kind of disappointed with the Nike Forward Hoodie. Upon receiving the hoodie the material was not what I was expecting it was kinda rough and resembled a paper bag. The hood felt pretty large and was not the most comfortable. Overall I did not love this hoodie and would probably not recommend this item.
