I have an upcoming vacation and in my quest to pack lightly, I wanted to find a shoe that can be worn with cute outfits (including dresses), long walks AND work outs. I decided on the Pacific (all white) because I liked the simple, retro look but also figure the fabric might help with ventilation. First off, there is no logo stamped on the insole which gives it a cheaper feel (if I didn't order these shoes directly from Nike I would wonder if they were fakes). The tops do crease but that doesn't bother me too much. I like that the bottom rubber sole goes above the heel because when I take off my shoes I step on my back heel with the opposite foot so by stepping on the rubber area it doesn't leave a stain on the back of the shoe. I ordered my normal Nike size 8 and the toe box was pretty roomy. I have normal width feet but if you have wide feet I think it might be snug. As other reviewers mentioned, there is ZERO arch support so I ripped out the insole the shoe came with and bought and installed an insole that is marketed as a "cross trainer athletic cushioning arch support". The aftermarket insole makes the shoe more snug, which was fine for me because I had the extra room. Finally, I wore these to the gym (with the new insole) to see how they would perform. I took a 45 minute HIIT class and walked on the treadmill for 40 minutes on the highest (15%) incline. Compared to the sneakers I usually wear for work outs, the Pacific actually did ok. My feet did feel warmer than expected, the base wasn't as stable for weight lifting but there was lots of flex in the front for lunges an planks.
