      • Fast but breakable

        I’ll preface this with saying, I’ve owned all versions of Vaporflys as well as Alphaflys. I love these shoes but the quality is not there anymore like it was in the earlier versions. In relation to the newest iteration of the Alpha, they feel amazing and they are FAST. My delivery arrived around 2pm and by 4pm I was doing intervals in them. They’re bouncy, they’re fast and everything was good, until it wasn’t. When I went to take them off, I pulled on the back of the heal and heard a snap, I looked down and there it was, half the foam heel was ripped apart, I wanted to cry. How are they so brittle? I barely put any pressure on them, considering my laces were tight. The only saving grace is that Nike have possibly the best return/warranty program in the universe. My main issue is my size is sold out and there’s no ETA on a restock, now I have to return these and wait to get a other pair which I’ll treat like fine china. So if you are buying these, be wary of their feebleness, great for running but treat with care, they are not resilient and they will break.

        previous version was too narrow in arch and dug into my foot. I wouldn't say I have very wide feet. This version I have no issue with that. They are bouncy and fun to run in. No regrets!
