I am already running in my second pair of Vaporfly 4s, mostly because the streamlined upper is so much smoother than the previous version. I wear a size EU 46 / US 12 and don't feel the lower stack height, but I definitely notice that these feel quicker and lighter than my Alphafly 3s. I’ve made this my primary shoe for shorter, fast efforts and Strava PBs because it delivers every single time. Kipchoge colorway is just super cool.

The Vaporfly 4 'Eliud Kipchoge' is a lean, mean, mile-eating machine. We trimmed weight in the midsole, outsole and upper from the Vaporfly 3, without sacrificing performance. The result is a lighter, more propulsive all-round racing shoe that's trusted from the mile to the marathon.
Behind the design
Eliud Kipchoge says achieving your dream isn't a solo endeavour, so we utilised his community in designing this shoe. His family influenced the colour selection and the multi-style Swoosh logo, which represents the strength behind a team. "No human is limited" nods to the endless possibilities you have with a support system.
Lighter upper
The engineered mesh helps reduce the weight of the shoe while providing a more consistent fit. And we saved more weight by reducing the size of the heel and tongue.
Lighter foam
Nike ZoomX, our most responsive foam, just got lighter. Running from heel to toe, it unlocks even more energy return than before with a slight midsole reduction, giving you a bouncy feel.
Lighter outsole
We reduced the weight of the outsole by using a thinner rubber compared with the Vaporfly 3.
Full Speed
The full-length carbon-fibre Flyplate has a higher angle than the Vaporfly 3 and is combined with a lower heel-to-toe drop to give you a propulsive feel on race day.
