Nike Maxfly 2
Fit for the world's fastest, the Maxfly 2 is back in the starting blocks. Designed for the 100 metres to 400 metres (hurdle events too), it combines an ultra-aggressive feel with the responsiveness of an Air Zoom unit to propel the speediest sprinters on the planet.
Nike Flyweave construction on the upper provides a secure and contouring fit for various foot shapes.
The carbon-fibre Flyplate's shape and stiffness help keep you on your toes and minimise deceleration.
The forefoot Air Zoom unit has two chambers to give you a propulsive feel and stability from take-off to the tape.
Lighter, more responsive than the Maxfly, the Flyplate's shape and stiffness give you a propulsive feel. The middle spike removed from the Maxfly and the elevated platform on the big-toe side help the spikes feel more stable.

Not Durable Enough for Elite Runners
RebeccaS760463077
My son loves these shoes, but unfortunately, one of the air cushions on the bottom of the shoe burst during his second meet of the season. And now they are sold out everywhere in every color! Ugh. He's a highly ranked runner in his state and we have 16 more meets to go with defective shoes (or changing shoes). Definitely not happy. Giving them 2 stars because they were awesome while they lasted (every race was a PB), but the durability is lacking.
This Past Weekend, He Broke a 10-Year Record in Just His Third Year of High School Wearing Nike Maxfly 2s
Brickhousebbq
I know shoes do not do the work for you. They do not run hills. They do not run repeats. They do not wake up early, push through soreness, or stay after practice. My son did that part. But I will say this: when he put on those Nike Maxfly 2s, he felt different. More confident. More ready. He looked like he believed something big was possible before the race even started. This past weekend, in just his third year of high school, he ran a 48.11 in the 400 and broke a school record that had stood for 10 years. As a parent, this is pretty incredible. He earned that moment through hard work, but those spikes absolutely made him feel fast, confident, and ready to compete. As we close out this season and get ready for the next one, I am definitely open to any Nike product suggestions that could help him keep building on this momentum.
