  • Canine Trainer & Handlers Delight!

I received this as a gift from one of my clients and it’s spectacular! I’m a relatively petite person with some curves. I’ve always struggled to find things to make my job easier because everything is either designed for large men or someone’s uncle that looks like a stereotypical tourist. I’m constantly needing more pockets for things. I do relatively extensive dog training and Search and Rescue beyond what most sane people would picture doing with their dogs. We’re climbing walls, rappelling, scent detecting, hiking, swimming, maybe attacking some decoys for fun and everything in-between. This vest is awesome because I can put my training supplies in it in addition to work and emergency items; my girly things and whatever else all while not looking like a total cornball. The buckle-latch thing is pretty awful so I had my Nana remove it and put a better one on (thanks, Naners!). I love how breathable it is. Despite getting myself into awkward situations; my items have never fallen out of any of the slot style of pockets which is a huge plus because that’s usually where I keep my dogs water, shoes, goggles and first aid supplies - none of which I’d want to lose while in the woods or around terrain that requires protective ‘gear’ for them. And most importantly, when worn with all black it makes me look pretty cool. I mean, hanging out with 6 Belgian Malinois already makes me look pretty cool but this makes me look like I can shoot crossbows with my toes while doing a backflip. My client thankfully sized up to a medium [correctly] assuming I wouldn’t want the cropped look. I’m almost 5’3 (lol) and about 125-130lbs. I think a small would’ve worked fine, too, likely still falling close to my waistline. I think the medium fits great falling a bit below my waistline and doesn’t lift at all. The ability to adjust the front and sides is nice - despite the front latch being useless, it’s easily replaceable. I highly recommend making alterations to that part to add a buckle closure or something because theirs doesn’t stay together. Nana added an extra elastic band to the back of mine, too, which I think really helps it to stay in place much better. It’s definitely more comfortable than heavier utility vests which are bulky feel like wearing a bulletproof vest without any pockets. ☹️

  • Clip/buckle doesn’t work however the vest is stylish, light weight, and breathable with lots of pockets.

My only problem is that the buckle doesn’t work to keep the vest closed. It doesn’t work well because it has an opening on the side. Every time I used it, it came undone. This was disappointing especially after paying so much for the vest. The buckle should have been a type of clip that has an end you can push down to open and close like a carabiner. Outside of that the style and appearance of the vest is great. Also I love the amount of pockets and how light weight and breathable it is.

  • Very functional and good looking piece

I love wearing this vest on top of hoodies and long-sleeved. I would say its definitely worth the price if you are someone who likes to layer clothing a lot. I have to say my favorite feature is the back part of the vest where you can hold up to two water bottles (or a small speaker). I like to bike a lot so the abundance of pockets very practical and useful when im on the move. Fits relatively true to size but I would recommend sizing down rather than up if you're worried about sizing
