These have to be the most comfortable shoes I’ve ever purchased from Nike. Not even all my Nikes & Air Jordan’s are this comfortable. So comfy I had to get a second pair.

  • Comfortable shoe to build miles during the week and long runs

    cpaxt041 - 19 Sept 2025

I’ve run about 90 miles in these over the last 18 days and I would describe the difference in feel, compared to running in Nike Frees (which I also love) being like going from sleeping on a pad on the floor to sleeping on a memory foam mattress. I’m increasing mileage now as I build up for my next marathon and also wanted something that would help alleviate tension around both Achilles and switching to these shoes seems to help with that. These feel like they are going to help run a ton of miles without wearing down. They do have a little bit of a bounce/wobble to them, but I ultimately like this. I also like it that they don’t have a flyplate, it’s great to have this cushioning without that same amount of forward propulsion for training. One thing to note, the offset is 10mm and I normally run in 8mm or less. I was hesitant to get something with a greater heel to toe drop because I tried that once and it felt like running with a door jam under foot, like blocking my heel from dropping normally. Thankfully, these squish enough when you land that the extra 2mm compared to what I’m used to is not noticeable at all. Finally, while I like these a lot, I would be very curious to try these with more of a Flyknit upper because the upper does feel like a bit of extra cushion and it takes some attention to get the laces tied up tight so that they don’t feel too big or loose. I just saw the overview of the Vomero Premium before I wrote this, and it looks like the new option is a little bit trimmed down in the upper, which looks like it will be great.

Not owned Vomeros so comparing them to the Invincibles, I’m a solid runner who averages about 90k/week. I found them to be really well cushioned and lighter than the aforementioned Invincibles. However I found them to be quite unstable, I felt the slightest alteration in terrain led to stress in my ankles and knees. Maybe my running style doesn’t suit these trainers, but based on my experience so far I would revert to a more stable model rather than these.

Full-stack, ultra-soft max cushioning for enhanced comfort underfoot.
