Seeing the Nike Primary NanoKnit Men’s Dri-FIT 7” Performance Shorts for the first time, the quality of the craftsmanship and materials was immediately apparent. The texture and feel are unlike anything I’ve experienced in a performance short — the best way I can describe it is a suede-like feel, smooth to the touch but with a durability you can sense right away. Even the finer details stand out, like the drawstring laces which are exceptional quality, right down to the coating on the tips of the strings. The stitching on the logo is flawless and the overall look is clean and sharp — my wife took one look at me in them and was immediately a fan. The length is perfect, not too long where they feel baggy like basketball shorts, but not so short that you feel uncomfortable. I’m normally a huge fan of 5” shorts, but these 7” shorts won me over completely. I’ll be honest — my initial concern was that the fabric felt a little thick, but once I started wearing them that hesitation disappeared fast, and they quickly became first in my rotation. The fabric breathes incredibly well and keeps you cool even on longer distance runs. What I also love is the practicality — zippered pockets to hold your keys, phone, and wallet make these just as ideal for running errands as they are for actual runs. These are not just performance shorts, they are an everyday essential for anyone on the move. Here are my final ratings — Material: 9/10, Style: 10/10, Comfort: 10/10, Durability: 10/10. The Nike Primary NanoKnit Men's Dri-FIT Shorts have become one of my go-to pairs of shorts because they're so versatile. I can wear them for a workout, while running errands, or just hanging out, and they're comfortable no matter what I'm doing. The NanoKnit material is super soft and lightweight, which gives them a premium feel and makes them easy to wear all day. The fit is spot on—they're true to size, and the inseam is just right. It's a great length that works well whether you're training, out and about, or just relaxing. One of my favorite things about these shorts is the zippered pockets. It's nice not having to worry about my phone, keys, or wallet falling out when I'm moving around. The pockets are a simple feature, but they make a big difference. Overall, these are great all-around shorts. They're comfortable, well-made, and versatile enough to handle everything from workouts to everyday wear. I will be looking to add more colors to my wardrobe.

The fabric of these shorts feel dreamy! They feel plushy, yet are medium-weight, smooth and feel silky. They are described as performance material, but are also perfect for casual wear and lounging. The only downside of the fabric itself is that it attracts lint. As a womens' Nike size small, a mens' small is true to size on myself. Also, as a woman, I wear my bottoms up at my waist, and I find that the back yoke of these shorts bunch up a bit at my lower back, which can be unflattering. However, I do understand that these shorts aren't made for women, and that elastic waistbands will do that to clothing. The stitch design at the bottom of the pocket is minimal and appreciated, as I wouldn't want my pockets to move around and get in the way in the middle of an exercise. The pocket zippers are a nice addition, and the zipper pull loops have an interesting drawstring-end finish. I think design wise, they could be distracting in how they naturally want to lay, but I appreciate that they can also be easily removed. I usually don't opt to use hidden pockets, but I love that it's an option in the main pocket of these shorts. My main concern upon putting on the shorts was the inner thigh seam. I wish it were more of a flat seam, as can see the existing seam being a sensory issue to people who are more feel-sensitive, especially during exercise, and if the shorts aren't worn with something underneath covering the inner thigh. I tested these during a Pilates and leg workout, and they moved well with my movements, and were not restricting whatsoever. As a short-legged girl, the inseam is wonderful for a workout, and I personally don't run the risk of showing my goodies with different movements, as the fabric moves with your body, without being annoying. 10/10 shorts!
